Ungli - Movie

Review Time Ding ding ding:“Ungli”

Well yes, my first impression of the name of this movie was exactly like yours. “Ungli” what kind of name is that? Hence when my friend asked me to go for it, my first answer was NO. But she is pretty persuasive. So I went. And within 5 mins from the movie started I knew this is going to be Awesome.

The story and screenplay is amazing, hence even though there are so many characters none of them are out focused. I really don’t know what genre this movie should be categorized into.  There is Love, but it’s not a Love Story; there is vengeance and revenge but it’s not an action thriller; there is basic technology not huge, but it’s not and it is a BIG NOT a sci-fi; there is a funny bone but it’s not comedy. The best part of this movie is- it is little bit of everything.

Yes there is Emraan Hashmi- ooooooo and Kangna Ranaut with him –double oooooooooooo and also Randeep Hooda – triple ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. But no, this is not an ooooooooo.... movie. Sorry to bust the bubble, but if you are seeking that kind of fun in this movie you will be very much disappointed.

There is one, and thankfully only one unnecessary song. (Unnecessary as in relation to the story) But come on how can there be a Bollywood movie without an item number? Yes I am being sarcastic. And the song is manageable.

I personally enjoyed the starting credits. Not great VFX but very good one. And even though there was Randeep Hooda I was woowed by Arunoday Singh. He got Body like Nobody. But again don’t go to watch it only for him. He has shared the screen for a very little while.

The reason this movie will appeal to many is- it has hit nerve point of many people in India. It shared many problems that we face in day-to-day life. Almost everyone one of us is facing one or other problems showed in the movie. The concept is not at all realistic, but the problems faced by the characters are real. And how does innovative Ideas are born tell me? - By impulsive Imagination.  Hence, if you are fan of everything to be shown in a movie should have a base of reality. You better skip it.

The only complaint I have for this movie is it was very short in length. I would have loved it to go on for at least an hour long.

This one is a must watch - full entertainment plus a wonderful message.
